Features of the BellHawk Work-in-Process Data Collection Software
Some of the features of the BellHawk work-in-process and data collection software:
- Use of a Cloud-based
architecture, with a web-browser interface, and the use of IIOT
appliances, can eliminate the need to install software on devices or
computers within a manufacturing plant, warehouse, or other industrial
facility. This eliminates the
need for costly on-site IT support.
- The DEX interface, which runs on a Windows Workstation computer in each plant or warehouse. This interface provides a simplified SQL "mirror" database for the BellHawk
database, which can run at a remote data center. Data written into this database automatically updates the BellHawk database and data captured by BellHawk is mirrored into
tables in the DEX database. This interface can be used by clients to automatically exchange data with ERP, CAD, and accounting systems as well as to produce custom reports and Excel exports.
- Use of GS1 standard License-Plate-Number Tracking Methods to enable accurate real-time tracking of materials in multiple geographically separated location. This standard has been adopted by most US Government agencies, suchy as the DoD and FDA, the EU and China, as well as UPS, USPS,
and FedEX. It is the standard for tracking the movement of materials in the Global Supply Chain
and enables compliance with current and future supply chain requirements.
- Ability to track the
Transformation of Materials, from the receipt and put-away of
raw materials, through their transformation into work-in-process (WIP),
to the production of finished products, and their picking, packing and
shipping
- Ability to use
Multiple Methods to Track
Work-in-Process (WIP). From simply tracking movement of WIP
inventory to detailed tracking of the people, materials, and equipment
involved in every operation. This data can be used for accurate job
costing as well as capturing historic materials traceability data for
defect tracking and recall minimization.
- Use of real-time Rules Based
Decision Support Methods to make it easy for users with limited
computer literacy to use systems implemented using the BellHawk software
platform.
- Use of "Magic Forms" to simplify
interactive data collection.
- Regulatory Compliance.
BellHawk is CFR 21 Part 11 compliant and can
be validated in FDA cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing applications. It
is also DFARs compliant, enabling its use for tracking GFE and labor in
DoD compliant applications.
-
Rules-based Barcode Label Printing. Enables printing custom
barcode labels on demand from mobile devices, with label formats set by
user defined rules, based on product, customer requirements, and
shipping method. This can save wasted time and prevent mistakes manually
entering data into a label printing program.
-
Ease of Producing Custom Reports.
BellHawk provides a wide range of standard reports and Excel exports
through its web-browser interface. It also enables users to create their
own custom reports using familiar reporting tools using the DEX interface.
