BellHawk Enterprise and Supply Chain Integration

BellHawk has a secure SOAP/XML web services interface through which external systems can read and write High Level Data Object (HLDO) abstractions of its database tables, in the form of JSON strings. External systems can also use this mechanism to run stored procedures on the BellHawk database, where data updates to the BellHawk database require the simultaneous updating of multiple tables.

This encrypted interface isolates users from direct access to the BellHawk database, and logs all changes, thus meeting the requirements of specifications such as CFR 21 Part 11 for data isolation. It also enables data exchange to take place with remote systems over the Internet.

This interface can be used in combination with the MilramX Real-Time Enterprise Decision Support (EDS) software platform to automatically exchange information with other systems, such as ERP, CAD, and systems of supply-chain partners.  In doing this data exchange, MilramX applies decision support Artificial Intelligence (AI) based rules and algorithm to the incoming data in near real-time to produce information that it provides to other systems.

This is done, for example, to convert incoming customer orders into purchase, work, pick, pack and ship orders, to be managed and tracked through one or more  BellHawk systems, possibly at different sites.

Similarly data extracted from BellHawk can be used to automatically update other systems, as well as to provide a real-time business intelligence view of operations, including sending text-message and Email alerts when appropriate to managers and their staff.

To facilitate implementing interfaces with other systems, MilramX through its MDEX interface, can be used to exchange data with a remote Data Exchange (DEX) database, which can be used for reporting or implementing data exchange interfaces with a wide variety of system

This interface can be run 24x7 unattended, typically on a remote Windows Server (can be virtual) in the Cloud.

For simple reporting, a version of this is available as a Remote Desktop Interface, which can be installed on any Windows PC. In the latter case, data transfers are manually initiated through a local interface on the PC whereas MilramX has its own web-browser interface through which to setup and monitor transfers remotely.

MilramX can be used to automatically exchange EDI and EPCIS files with remote systems, using protocols such as SFTP and AS2. In addition, it can be programmed with Python scripts to automatically exchange data with external systems that use REST, SOAP, or other interface protocols.

A lightweight version of MilramX, named MilramX Lite, can be run on the same IIOT computer as BellHawk and uses the BellHawk Sys Admin interface to control the information transfers with other locally accessible systems, such as process control lines.
